About

As of Monday, February 2, I am an unemployed, (as of January 30, car-less!) former purchasing manager for a chain of knitting stores. I used to be a newspaper editor. I don’t think I’ll be going back to that dying industry!

I am almost broke, will be pawning jewelry soon and praying Oprah will help me with her witchcraft.

If you’d like to help me eat and buy toilet paper, why not purchase a lovely item at my Etsy store, Dreads and Curls.

Or visit me on Ravelry — I’m tangodiva.

Welcome to my new world order!

  1. I have been knitting the cable capelet called CHARM, which you created, from the book Knit and Wrap by Nathalie Mornu. I need to make six of these for my daughter’s wedding. They are for flower girls ranging in age from 10 to 2 years. If you could tell me how to adjust this pattern down in sizes, or at least give me some factor by which to decrease the directions, I would be glad to pay you for this information. This may not be the solution to all your present difficulties, but it might serve to point you in some new directions. You have a great talent in this area. Thanking you in advance for any assistance you could offer me, Jackie

  2. Dear Jackie,
As you see, I haven’t posted here since November – hoping to change that soon! Anyway, I have a new job as of this week, and just saw your comment. I was going to answer your privately but don’t see an address.

My first advice is to use a lighter yarn (DK) and use the same numbers, and you should be able to size down. Even a worsted would size down. I will take a look at the multiples this weekend and write another message once I figure out the numbers.

No need to pay me, thanks for your kind offer and words though. I’m happy to help anyway I can. If you see this, keep your eyes open for another reply this weekend.

    Tanya
