About

Wow, this thing hasn’t been updated in forever. Let’s keep things simple:

I’m Tanya. I’m in my forties. I have curly hair, a husband and a cat.

I really love the color pink, French (and world) cinema, reading, knitting and going to museums.

I was married in Vegas, and it’s one of my favorite cites.

In the last EIGHT years (that used to be three, how time flies), I have been through a lot of changes. Lost a job (s), lost a parent, was unemployed and then worked at the worst job I’ve ever had in my life. If you ever wondered why I hate Barnes and Noble, wonder no more. I had a heart attack. While working at Barnes and Noble.

Why not purchase a lovely item at my Etsy store, Dreads and Curls? I would love to make a custom order for you if you like.

Or visit me on Ravelry — I’m tangodiva. My design work has been featured in Knitscene, Unique Feet, Deep South Knitting and Knit and Wrap.

I am a simple girl who makes things WAY too complicated.

I have been knitting the cable capelet called CHARM, which you created, from the book Knit and Wrap by Nathalie Mornu. I need to make six of these for my daughter’s wedding. They are for flower girls ranging in age from 10 to 2 years. If you could tell me how to adjust this pattern down in sizes, or at least give me some factor by which to decrease the directions, I would be glad to pay you for this information. This may not be the solution to all your present difficulties, but it might serve to point you in some new directions. You have a great talent in this area. Thanking you in advance for any assistance you could offer me, Jackie

    Dear Jackie,
As you see, I haven’t posted here since November – hoping to change that soon! Anyway, I have a new job as of this week, and just saw your comment. I was going to answer your privately but don’t see an address.

My first advice is to use a lighter yarn (DK) and use the same numbers, and you should be able to size down. Even a worsted would size down. I will take a look at the multiples this weekend and write another message once I figure out the numbers.

No need to pay me, thanks for your kind offer and words though. I’m happy to help anyway I can. If you see this, keep your eyes open for another reply this weekend.

    Tanya
